J.WLSN is the musical project of Jonathan Wilson, a musician and curator who lives and works on Gadigal land in Sydney, Australia. Wilson’s music is based on simple sonic and rhythmic gestures.

Working with smudged baroque forms and by warping traditional instrumentation (piano, guitar) through simple electro acoustic interventions (tape machines) and electronic processing (modular and guitar effects), the sound takes on new meaning and aims to open up spaces for joy, contemplation, and a slowing of time.

Wilson is currently the music and community curator at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney Australia.
